We have had an amazing fall in Minnesota this year. How amazing? We’ll be playing golf on Thanksgiving. Yes, you can play golf in Minnesota at the end of November.

Stonebrooke Golf Club in Shakopee is one of a few courses that is open this week and will be open on Thanksgiving and Friday, November 25th. Tee times are available from 11am-2pm. Wednesday and Thursday 18 holes will be $35 plus tax. You can also just play 9 for $20 plus tax. Friday, a round will be $38 plus tax. If you book your tee time online you’ll get a free cart.

Earlier this week I was at The Wilderness at Fortune Bay and it’s in perfect condition. The greens are fast and firm and the fairways are lush. About 40% of the leaves are down, but there are still some terrific colors in the trees. When heading towards Tower, you also have to swing by Giants Ridge in Biwabik, which I did as well. Both the Legend and The Quarry are in fabulous condition. John Kendall, the Director of Golf, tells me they won’t close their courses until mid month.

Scary thought, but time is running out on the season – so get out and tee it up!

Don’t let your child’s golf game suffer in the winter! Sign up is underway for Fall and Winter camps at Rush Creek Golf Club. These camps are done in small class sizes of just 3-6 people so your junior golfer will learn a lot and get plenty of individual attention.

The pros at Rush Creek Golf Academy use their indoor and outdoor teaching areas and will work with students on their full swing and short game. Juniors will learn practice drills and be given a CD with swing tips to practice over the winter months.
